Scam - Gamco Investors and Unfi

Hi all,
I was contacted yesterday for two different companies, whit same approach: on line job to work from home, with great wage. The interviews were done thru Yahoo messenger and when I asked for a phone number to get in touch, they refused to give me one.
Very strange and dangerous situation.
I've sent an email for both companies thru their official website and I'm waiting for some reply.

I was also contacted by Stacey (her last name was Morrison). I also wanted to talk to someone, and was not able to. Very strange. They wanted to send me a check to purchase some equipment.
I was also contacted by Stacey Morrison and she sent very good Employment offer letter from UNFI ( United Natural Foods Inc. ), I signed it and I return it through mail to someone called Robert Dogan as her superior after that she said that she send me a check to purchase some software with tracking Number through FedEx and when I track the shipment I informed by FedEx return back the shipment by shipper order
I record all the conversation between me and Stacey from Yahoo Messenger
This is scam and you should avoid replying. This is the same names of the people I dealt with (which I'm sure are made up names). I contacted UNFI (HR) and they confirmed it was a scam.
