I'd never heard of HRMC, and the role sounded suspicious. Here are some of the clues that it might not be for real:
- We received a copy of your resume, but it doesn't say from where. They probably do this to protect their status with either Monster or Careerbuilder for their pseudo job posting and/or resume search.
- They ask for your permission to email you additional information about positions. They never indicate what positions, and that positions is plural indicates that there is no clear path between you and a job.
The first thing I did was search for "Harvard Benefits" and scam on Google, and found this:
Here is the fake craisglist ad stating it is for a real job in recruitment and human resources:

Upon contacting this ad, you will end up getting a misleading email trying to fool you into thinking you're actually being hired for a job:

Depending on various factors which impact applicant volume on a weekly basis. This position will require an average of 10 to 15 hours of your time per week. Scheduling is flexible. Compensation will be discussed thoroughly via the phone interview process and will vary from person to person.
We are experiencing a high volume of emails and resumes regarding our openings so I'd like to ask you a few questions to prioritize who to speak with first.

Here is a final email with info to their "conference call" which is nothing more than info stating you have to pay them and purchase a "product" to join their "business." It is a pre recorded call, not an interview.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING YOUR PHONE CONVERSATION WITH HARVARD BENEFITS
We have you confirmed for a phone interview on Monday, the 4th of November at 5:00 pm Central (Please adjust if you don't live within the Central Time Zone: Pacific is 2 hours behind, Mountain is 1 hour behind {If you are in AZ you may be 1 or 2 hrs behind- Please double check}, and Eastern is 1 hour ahead)
The Manager conducting your interview is Charles Fields and he has asked that you attend the interview by calling into our conference line.YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO CALL INTO THE CONFERENCE LINE FOR YOUR INTERVIEW - YOU WILL NOT BE RECEIVING A PHONE CALL. The details for the call are as follows:
Conference Line Phone number - 1-760-569-7676
Conference Access Code - 273997
Please try to arrive on the call 5 minutes prior to the scheduled call-in time to ensure that we complete the phone call on schedule. You can expect the call to last roughly 30 minutes as Mr. Fields will be providing details about our company, our positions available and our services that we offer. You are encouraged to have a pen and notebook available for taking notes.
Also be advised that the calling bridge will not accept blocked/anonymous callers. VoIP services also will not work properly.
Thanks again for your interest in our company and we look forward to seeing you on the call.

If you look at the complaints on the BBB they've somehow weaseled out of being held accountable for what they're doing.
