Positive Words about theLadders

Hello everyone,
This is the only job search website I pay for. As to why, the following is my rationale:
1) I can find the same jobs without using theladders (TL), but I would
have to spend quite a bit of time searching in different sites without
it. This site sends me alerts (I have created three agents) in the
executive category I am looking for.
2) I have found that TL is the only site that is very specific as far
as stating the compensation package of the positions and is the only
one that consistently gives me the six figure targets I am going after.
3) I have had two interviews in four months in jobs that I have applied
for in this site. I keep a spreadsheet with where/when/who and I track
statistics on these details. I do not have the same success rate with
the other sites I frequent or in which I have search agents.
4) The site's founder sends a newsletter that gives very good advice on interviewing/
5) One of the two interviews I had was with a recruiter who said he
only follows up with people who apply though this site because, in his
words, "people who are willing to pay a nominal fee are serious about
their job search at this level". I obviously take this with a grain of
salt but I have never heard this said from anyone about any other site.
As always, my closing statement is that each one of us should do what
s/he feels is the right thing to do in their search and each search is
unique. However, I feel $30 is a small fee to pay for the convenience/
Best of Luck in your search,
Mario
