Hello All,
After 13 months of looking - I have accepted an offer from Schneider Electric to be their newest Marketing Project Manager.
The position at Schneider was posted on Monster. I sent off a resume and cover letter online and looked at Linkedin to get the name of the recruiter/HR person. I called a couple of times and left messages – no reply. On a Wednesday after I came in 2nd (AGAIN!!) for another job I was interviewing for I got out my file and called on all my outstanding resumes. I was shocked when the recruiter actually picked up the phone. We chatted for a few minutes and she passed my resume to the hiring manger who called me that afternoon. After several interviews (phone and in person) as well as an online personality test, they made me an offer. I accepted and start 2/22. I didn't know anyone at Schneider, no one I know knew anyone at Schneider – it was just applying to a posted job and then diligently following up.
Thank you to everyone who answered my posts and who I met at the ANG meetings. I am away this Friday, so I cannot come to the meeting and tell my story in person.
Good luck to all – I will keep my ears open and post any jobs that I hear about at Schneider!
