I have landed as a Senior Product Manager at SimplexGrinnell (a Tyco International Company) in Westminster MA.

I want to thank everyone for their support. Acton Networkers is a great group.

I think the advice and information provided by Acton Networkers members, including the success stories, is very useful. To land a job I think you need to do most if not all of the things you have heard at the meetings and seen in the email messages. I strongly suggest networking, applying for jobs online, preparing diligently for interviews, and taking advantage of any placement services offered to you.

My success story includes studying information on the company's web site and on any other place I could find company or industry information. I made it all the way through the last round of interviews and was not selected, but I was told that I had interviewed well and if anything came up they would consider me for the opportunity. Well, about a month after the bad news, the hiring manager called me and asked if I was still available. For there it was really just getting the offer letter and completing the background check.
