After a long 13 month hiatus, I landed a position as Sales Operations Manager for Calloway Laboratories in Woburn, MA.



This was my first job loss so the entire experience was new to me. One of the best things that I did in my search was to join the Acton Networkers' Group and then by extension the Hopkinton Networkers' Group. The atmosphere was welcoming and so many were helpful in getting me started and pointed in the right direction.



Although I found this position on Indeed, I spent much time establishing and renewing contacts which we all know is so vital..



About six months into my search a friend sent me a card that I keep on my

desk. The front of it said A Job is What You Do, not Who You Are. I looked at that so many times as an interview did not pan out or I heard nothing in response to positions that I was well qualified for. Just one small example of someone reaching out to make the road a little easier.



Please keep that in mind as you continue your search. We are all so much more than the titles that we once held.
