A unique request from idealist.org to be a Virtual Volunteer

Hey Dan, 

Part
of our mission here at Idealist.org is to ensure that no opportunities
for action or collaboration are missed or wasted. With this in mind, we're reaching out to you, one of our valued users, with the hope that you'll help us with a big project we have on hand. We're
currently looking to reconnect with all of the organizations on
Idealist.org that have out-of-date contact information and we need your
help as a Virtual Volunteer.

Virtual
Volunteering offers you the chance to help out an organization like
ours at whatever time of the day, from wherever you want, and for as
little or as much time as you may have to spare. All you need
is access to the internet, and a desire to be part of our mission. Just
imagine how many fewer missed opportunities for action and
collaboration there would be in the world if all of our users
volunteered to find new contact information for just one organization. 

To start the project, we're reaching out to users in Massachusetts
to help us with local MA organizations. We're using an innovative
program called Mechanical Turk, offered by Amazon.com, to help us
manage the results of this project. Your task would be as simple as a
quick internet search and you can see an example or get started here. 

If
you decide to volunteer for Idealist.org, just click on the "Accept
HIT" button, and this will take you through the steps of logging in or
signing up for a free Amazon.com account. If you want to return to Mechanical Turk at a later time, just click on the "Find HITs Now" link and search for Idealist.org!
