Ask a Question if Your Interviewer Seems DisinterestedSEXPAND

We've told you about the negative body language cues you should avoid in a job interview, but it's also important to keep an eye on your interviewer. If you think they are getting bored or distracted, stop whatever you are saying and ask them a question to snap their attention back to you, advises The Daily Muse:P

Stay conscious of what the interviewer's body language is expressing. Is he or she slouching, jiggling a leg, or covertly texting? These signs often point to boredom, so if you see any of them, stop your monologue and bring your interviewer back into the conversation (e.g., "Does that answer your question?" or "Am I giving you the kind of information you were looking for?"). These questions will help bring him or her back into the moment and help you figure out how to better direct the conversation for the time you have left.P

Slouching and the other cues are only some of the signals to pick up on whether the other person is bored or not. Our guide to reading body language can reveal the truth in almost any situation. And you should also check out the full article below for other non-verbal ways to ensure you make a good impression in your interview.P
