Content Strategist
FQ540 is looking for someone who loves telling stories about data. The Content Strategist will build strategies for developing, implementing and managing compelling and well-organized content based on a thorough understanding of a client’s business objectives, user needs and industry best practices. This person willdevelop these strategies by using behavioral data—what people are searching, sharing and consuming online. A professional communicator capable of grasping communication and business challenges and devising appropriate solutions, the Strategist has a well-rounded knowledge of digital marketing, as well as thorough familiarity with digital analytic and insight tools. As a strategy expert, the ideal candidate will be deeply involved in the content development process from outset to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with project teams to understand business objectives and audience demographics
- Lead teams to harness content and data for our clients, training others on tools and resources
- Identify, manage and utilize data sources, partners and/or licenses to ensure we gather the necessary behavioral data needed to inform strategy
- Conduct gap analysis of client’s digital content across all channels (site, social, email, etc.) to identify issues, opportunities and priorities for future content and/or refinements
- Collaborate with Creative Team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction (to be executed by copywriters) of online initiatives
- Conduct search engine keyword research and analyses, and define SEO recommendations
- Produce content classification and tagging systems
- Serve as discipline lead; help draft estimates, scope new work and contribute to new business pitches

Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
- Background in researching, writing, and/or publishing
- Minimum 4 years of Marketing/Communications experience in a Web-focused company or agency
- Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for varied projects with diverse audiences
- Working knowledge of leading Web Analytics and SEO tools, content management systems (CMS), and social listening and measurement tools
- Familiarity with search engine marketing practices including organic search, paid listings and paid inclusion
