Director of Development
KidZNotes - Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Development plans, leads and coordinates all KidZNotes development activities including fundraising with corporate sponsors, individual donors, private foundations, special events and government grants. The Director of Development works closely with the Board of Directors and the Development Committee. Our expansion into Raleigh will require the Director of Development to grow our donor base beyond its current borders with an eye to even more growth across the state.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) with a minimum of 3-5 years fundraising experience with a proven history of success with individuals, corporations and foundations.
- Thorough experience in nonprofit fundraising is preferred other related experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of Triangle and North Carolina philanthropic environment and opportunities a plus.
- Extremely high level of professionalism, self-motivation, creativity and organization required.
- Ability to energetically share passion for the KidZNotes mission and to work with people from all walks of life and cultures.
- Goal oriented with the ability to complete assignments on time, and a competitive interest in exceeding goals.
- Experience and proficiency with Donor Perfect Online or similar donor database systems

Beginning in early-childhood, KidZNotes provides free-of-charge classical, orchestral music training to combat poverty, strengthen inner-city education, and foster positive
