Ground-floor opportunity to join a startup with a leading edge technology. The management team has a history of success. This client will launch product in 2013.
They are ready to hire their first manufacturing engineer.
Process Engineer
focused on bringing product to market this engineer will have responsibilities for:
* Transferring bacterial fermentation processes from lab to production.
* Designing studies to optimize upstream production and downstream separation / purification.
* Identify areas of improvement in SOP and increase yield.
* Preparing technical reports for publication, regulatory submissions, or patent applications.
* Managing new equipment installations.
* Designing validation and testing methods.
Qualifications
1. B.S.
2. Fermentation experience
3. Purification experience
4. Demonstrated experience transferring research and development protocols into manufacturing processes
5. Manufacturing engineering experience with bacterial production strains
6. Knowledgeable in fermentation process scale-up
applicable industry/process /product experience: fermentation; bioreactors; genetic modifications; purification; bacteriophage; bacterial production; separation; synthetic biology; microbiology; bioprocess engineering
Location: Boston MA. Relocation is available if this individual brings directly related experience
Compensation: negotiable
