Description:
Panera is looking for a creative direct marketer to lead digital marketing
strategic initiatives with the objectives of meeting our business and
customer needs. The ideal candidate has experience planning and executing
highly targeted digital marketing campaigns through email, SMS and owned
platforms (web/mobile) with thorough knowledge of user experience, reporting
and analytics. This candidate will lead the development of digital marketing
projects with the goal of maximizing customer engagement, revenue, and
profitability.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the strategic development and execution of MyPanera (Loyalty
Program), Local and other Panera brand email marketing programs, including
automated, segmented and triggered campaigns. Specifically this includes
defining targeting criteria with support from the Loyalty Agency, oversee
content focus, scheduling and executing email sends through our ESP.
* Provide analysis of email /digital campaigns including metrics such
as open rates, click-through and conversion. Suggest test strategies to
optimize campaign performance and identify opportunities. Communicate
results and future implications to MyPanera team, Marketing and Senior
Leadership.
* Develop digital content planning and personalization strategy to
inform our web assets and email campaign strategies.
* Partner with MyPanera team to oversee key digital
experiences/content to be developed, platform capabilities and
strategic/vendor partnerships necessary to deliver programs and new site
capabilities to drive customer engagement.
* Partner with internal Marketing, Creative, and Technology teams to
drive innovation, inform future development roadmaps and technology/platform
investment decisions with detailed business requirements.
* Manage the ESP vendor relationship (Exact Target) and ensure
integration with internal Panera IS Team and external 3rd Party Vendors.
* Manage monthly expense forecasts and support the Director in
development of annual expense budget planning and forecasting.
* Manage one direct report.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 7 years of Marketing experience required with 4+ working in
email marketing with a proven track record in developing integrated email
campaigns that drive customer retention and increase customer visits.
* Led the development of digital integrated marketing strategies from
conception through program implementation.
* Has experience managing a major ESP (e.g. Exact Target) and working
knowledge of their delivery tool.
* Loyalty program experience preferred.
* Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate many
moving parts with internal/external teams.
* Strong verbal and writing skills.
* Must be metrics driven and results-oriented with demonstrated
analytical skills.
* eCommerce or direct to consumer experience required; restaurant
industry preferred.
* BA/BS Degree; Major in Marketing, Business or a related field.
