Cambridge-based NuoDB Raises $10M, and they need software people!
Cambridge, Mass. -- NuoDB, a privately held, Cambridge-based developer of database software for the cloud, announced on Monday it has raised $10 million in its second round of venture capital, which was led by Morgenthaler Ventures. Founded in 2010 by database architect Jim Starkey and veteran software business CEO Barry Morris, the NuoDB database is currently in beta and will become generally available in the third quarter of this year, according to the company. This latest financing round brings the total raised by NuoDB so far to $12 million. Additional investors in the company include Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and Longworth Venture Partners.
