Oxford-based IPG Photonics Raises $145M and they are hiring!

Oxford, Mass. -- IPG Photonics, an Oxford-based maker of fiber lasers, fiber amplifiers and diode lasers, has priced a secondary public offering of stock to raise a total of about $145 million. The company sold 3 million shares priced at $54.30 in the deal. The company said it expects that the proceeds of the deal be used for general corporate purposes and to fund capital expenditures and working capital requirements. IPG said it also may also use some of the net proceeds for acquisitions of complementary businesses and technologies, although no such acquisitions are currently pending.
