Business Project Manager needed in Boston Area

The Opportunity: Business Project Manager
We are looking for a Project Manager on behalf of our client. This position is based in Boston, MA.
- Working with diverse business and systems partners across distribution channels to manage, track, and communicate a comprehensive, integrated project plan on a complex $4m effort
- Managing project financials and scope; document and gain approval on change controls as required from key product leads
- Managing risk and identifying mitigation strategies
- Working with Product management, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and systems analysts to provide oversight on application testing efforts
- Coordinating the execution of all business deliverables (e.g., legal, compliance, communications, etc.)
- Leading project update meetings that provide regular statuses and communicate issues, risks, financials, and change control
Qualifications
- BS or BA degree required
- 7 years of direct project management experience in the financials services industry, leading larger programs
- Experience in developing and managing projects from initiation to completion, on-time, on-scope, and on-budget
- Demonstrated track record of project execution
- Strong communication and presentation skills; solid negotiation ability and willingness to build consensus across project team
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders
- Ability to anticipate risk and recommend mitigation strategies
- Extensive experience with business applications such as MS Project, Excel, and Powerpoint.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, leading numerous deliverables and Client dates simultaneously
