Our client, is e-Dialog.  They were established in 1997 and is now a wholly owned subsidiary ofEBay.  It is an integrated digital marketing solutions provider that combines technology and insight to drive increasing levels of value for their clients.  Through the power of data-driven e-mail and cross channel marketing, e-Dialog helps some of the world’s top brands deliver on the promise of relevant 1:1 communications with dramatic results.  E-Dialog is recognized as the industry authority on relevant e-mail marketing and they have applied that expertise to deliver their solutions in a multichannel environment, including mobile, social, e-commerce, display and even point-of –sale.  

Oracle Architect     

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of 10+ years of continuous experience in engineering and/or solution architecture, development, and implementation of data solutions for large-scale systems. This position is responsible for leading the re-architecture of an existing Oracle environment in support of large scale product redevelopment to a yet-to-be-determined platform. The individual in this role will provide e-Dialog-wide database guidance; function as database technology advocate and mentor and will participate with the office of the CTO in the development e-Dialog’s technology roadmap. While reporting to the VP of Architecture, this role will be highly visible within e-Dialog and with clients and analysts; will have direct interaction with the CTO and various Technology Vice-Presidents.

Required Skills / Requirements

-          5+ years experience with Oracle 10g, 11g, RAC, GoldenGate (or other replication technologies)

-          Demonstrated ability to perform problem isolation and troubleshooting in complex environments

-          Data warehousing, OLTP, OLAP and DSS systems

-          Experience designing, modeling, documenting, and guiding the logical and conceptual relationship of data and

            database changes for   complex applications.

-          Experience with physical modeling and overall database implementation

-          Experience in the development of a data strategy and associated  policies (e.g., data security, data retention)

-          Proven ability to design highly scalable database applications

-          Proven experience with ETL architectures and data movement technologies

-          Previous experience tuning database parameters and SQL statements

-          Experience introducing new database technologies and logistical methods to facilitate efficient application development

-          Experience in implementing highly available database architecture.
