Business Analyst - Cambridge, MA - 6+ month contract ( 3 positions available) Temp to perm, and 3+ month contract

Descriptions:

The Business Analyst is responsible for a range of activities which ensure the operational
effectiveness and excellence of the Quality Assurance and Regulatory business
areas. He/she acts as an intermediary
between the business community and the technical community working with GIS
project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and document business
requirements
from which applications and solutions are developed. In this particular
role, the business analyst will focus on the definition of solutions
related to EDMS, Regulatory
Affairs Solutions, Batch Release Process Design, and Quality Auditing.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with Client Account Manager on day to day oversight and progress of projects

Work with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze,
translate, and document business requirements into actionable user and
functional requirements
- Review use cases and requirements documents with GIS staff to ensure business
requirements are adequately reflected in technical and testing documents
- Partner with business areas to define and
facilitate user acceptance testing and end user training
- Coordinate with project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Work with external business partners to analyze, define and document data and
information flows impacting business operations

 

Tools skills include: MS Project, MS Visio Flow Charting, MS Office
- Project management experience: Experience
with managing projects from initiation to project closeout
- Business Analysis Techniques: Requirements elicitation, facilitation, use cases and activity diagrams

Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business operations
and processes then translating them into application user requirements
- Demonstrated experience in writing system requirements
- Experience with conducting periodic reviews of prototypes and final solutions with application developers
- Experience with leading process re-design efforts
- In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycle and methodologies (e.g. Agile, RUP, and Waterfall)
- Strong understanding of basic system engineering and data and information modeling,
data and process mapping


Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Oracle Process Manufacturing (OPM), Sparta TrackWise, and QUMAS
DocCompliance is a plus

- Excellent understanding of business complexity and project inter-dependencies
- Ability to engage partners across functional areas and communicate at all levels of the organization
- Sense of urgency and customer service
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work product
- Ability to partner with a wide range of team members: technical, business subject
matter experts and stakeholders in a heavily matrixed environment
