DOL Reports More Bad News: Jobless rates up in 26 states, down in 12 in Aug; payroll jobs down in 30 states, up in 20

Can it get worse? When will we hit rock bottom?
Today the US Dept of Labor reported that in August, 26 states and the District of Columbia reported over-the-month unemployment rate increases, 12 had decreases, and 12 had no change. Nonfarm payroll employment decreased in 30 states and the district and increased in 20 states.
