Farm to School program Happening in WV Sept 27-28
Farm to School programs are popping up all over the U.S. These programs connect schools with local farms to serve healthy meals in school cafeterias, improve student nutrition, provide health and nutrition education opportunities, and support local small farmers.
This growing national movement is now taking root in West Virginia. On September 27-28, 2011, join us in Morgantown, WV to explore issues and opportunities related to farm to school initiatives.
At the conference, we will be talking about purchasing, food safety, food preparation, pricing, supply, and production andavailability. There will be plenty of opportunities for people to connect and network with each other!
