WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER- Boston, MA- (Contract to Hire) 

Job Description: 

The Web Application Developer is responsible for analyzing, developing, and deploying web applications to meet company needs. This individual will analyze requirements for the design, development and implementation of web application development projects connecting to the backend database systems. This individual plays an integral role within the development team, providing hands-on development of web applications. This individual will lead Web application design and development activities for enterprise scale multitier applications using open industry standard technologies and participate in enterprise architecture strategy development and the implementation plan development and execution. This individual will be integral in the development team, providing hands-on development of web functionality in both Internet and Intranet related projects. 



Primary Responsibilities: 

Perform system and component level analysis, design, coding, test, and documentation for application development projects utilizing ASP.NET, C#, CSS, Javascript, HTML and SQL Server. 
Design and deliver application/software functionality through programming and infrastructure software; provide significant hands-on technical development. 
Partner with the development team in using and enhancing standards and methodologies for development. 
Perform system and component level analysis, design, coding, test, and documentation for Web applications. 
Web application development and support for Intranet and Internet related projects. 
Participate in the formulation of development procedures, standards and code maintenance and archiving. 
Assist in development of project definitions, including proposals, estimates, planning, schedules and documentation. 
Other web application development, maintenance and support duties as assigned. 


Essential Qualifications: 

Experience hosting and deploying live high volume web based application using Internet Information Server (IIS 6/7). 
Hands on experience in developing web applications using C# 3.0, CSS, Javascript, CSS, HTML 
Telerik UI controls, WCF/WPF/WF and Linq are a plus 
Experience with ASP.NET, ADO.NET, and the .NET framework. 
Must have knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008 database, stored procedures, triggers, DTS (SSIS) Packages. 
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills. 
Ability to communicate complex information in simple terms. 
Experience translating business requirements into working web sites 
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines. 
Good knowledge and experience with all appropriate design tools and technologies. 


Experience/Education: 

Bachelors degree or equiv. work experience required 
5 years of object oriented software design and development with 3 plus years solid hands on experience in ASP.NET, C#, CSS, Javascript, HTML, XML. 
2-3 years of successful database application development and support with background in SQL Server databases, including writing and optimizing stored procedures, defining tables and integrity rules. 
2-3 years experience hosting web applications using IIS 6.0/7.0. 
Working knowledge Crystal Reports is a huge plus. 
Health care industry experience and working knowledge of HIPAA transaction and code sets highly desirable.
