Lead E-Commerce Development Manager Needed in Deerfield, IL

The Lead for eCommerce Development is primarily responsible for the design, architecture, and development for a high volume ATG/web site, including customizations, database changes, screen changes, security definition and workflow. The Lead supervises, mentors and trains a team of technical resources within the Information Service department focusing on eCommerce development for the ATG platform. The Lead works with the Systems Manager and business partners to define

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage a team of software developers.


• Maintain a competency on the business processes in the eCommerce area.


• Architect efficient and scalable software solutions for the eCommerce/marketing web platform.


• Estimate the level of effort related to technical design, coding, and unit testing.


• Report status to development management and project/systems management.


• Participate in the development of career plans for their resources.


• Develop production application support plans, schedules, and assignments as required.


• Participate in the evaluation of new technology

• 6-9 of technical experience in this specific discipline


• 6+ years experiences as JAVA/J2EE Developer


• 3+ years with large eCommerce development leveraging a package product


• Ability to design and develop effective technical solutions using Java, J2EE, EJB, SQL Server, SQL, SOAP, WWSDL and XML.


• 3-5 years experience mentoring developers and guiding the team toward clear objectives.


• Strong decision making skills with an understanding of where projects fit into the over all business strategy.


• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.


• 3+y experience customizing ATG web applications.


• Experience developing integrations to external profile data, product, and order management systems.
