We have a fairly pressing but short term need (this is not a permanent
slot). We have recently introduced a new generation of signal processing
systems which we use with our radiation detection equipment. The signal
processors use an FPGA to do the processing, then the data are transferred
to a microcontroller, which sends the data to a PC via USB, Ethernet, etc
interfaces. We have application software running on the PC which reads the
data, displays it, commands the unit etc. Actually, we have a partially
finished release of the application software. :) We need to finish it up,
and we need several utilities to go along with the application software
and several demonstration programs (we provide subroutines for customers to
write their own interface code). The utilities include code to upload a new
or custom release of firmware to the device and some related tools.
So we are looking for someone who can write the application software,
running on a PC, which communicates with our device. This would not be
permanent but a variety of short term arrangements are possible. If anyone
