Hiring Mechanical, Electrical, Project Engineers in Worcester area

Coghlin Companies is a 126 year-old privately held capital equipment contract manufacturing and engineering services specialist. We have immediate openings for Mechanical, Electrical and Project Engineers with 5-15 years experience: 

Mechanical Engineers: 
• Create conceptual 3D CAD models, bills of material, and engineering change orders. Sheet metal design experience is a plus. 
• Design and analyze electro-mechanical systems 
• Has experience and understanding of advanced analytical equipment and practices such as FEA. 
• Understand DFM, FMEA and other development practices. 
• Interface with suppliers and customers on designs and specifications as needed 
• Transition prototype designs into manufacturing 

Electrical Engineers: 
• Responsible for electrical component designs from initial layout through final drawings. 
• Create electrical system documentation: schematics, wiring diagrams, cable drawings, bills of material. 
• Provide design and analysis of servo- and stepper-based electro-mechanical drives 
• Design power distribution systems for capital equipment. 
• Knowledge of PCB design, fabrication, tests, and evaluations. 
• Interface with compliance laboratories – UL, NFPA, CSA, FCC, CE
• Interface with suppliers and customers on specifications and designs as needed. 
• Transition prototype designs into manufacturing. 

Project Engineers: 
• Organize and lead customer-focused projects from engineering to prototype acceptance to manufacturing release 
• Multi-disciplinary, cross-functional team oversight 
• Project planning, including risk management and contingency planning 
• Technical writing: engineering specifications, test plans, proposals, and client presentations
