Experienced Hardware Engineer needed at Symmetricom in Beverly, MA

Symmetricom is looking for an experienced Hardware Engineer to join us at our Beverly, MA location (just north of Boston).

This position requires an individual capable of project management, designing and supporting production for a variety of precision frequency source applications in the space, military and avionics industries.

In particular, the individual will be the responsible Project Engineer for various precision crystal oscillator projects. Sound oscillator design skills and knowledge and understanding of the effects of space and military applications, shock, vibration, temperature and radiation knowledge are critical. 

Individual will also be responsible for:

RF analog/digital circuit design and related technical analyses

Production and sales support

Test development

Direct customer technical interface

Project engineering

Essential Qualifications:

BSEE in Electrical of Electronics Engineering and minimum of 10 years of experience in oscillator/RF and Analog circuit design

Experience in commercial manufacturing environment

Strong computer skills, including Electrical Simulations, Microsoft Office, Project and PowerPoint

Willingness to travel 4 – 6 times per year

Demonstrated leadership experience

US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Desired Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering

Knowledge and experience with FPGA’s, digital circuit designs

Background in a space, military or avionics environment

Background in Physics
