Cambridge-based Radius Raises $91M

Cambridge, Mass. -- Radius Health, a Cambridge-based developer of drug therapies for osteoporosis and women’s health, announced on Tuesday it has raised $66 million in its third round of venture capital and a $25 million loan facility. Participation in the deal includes $66 million in equity financing and a commitment by GE Capital, Healthcare Financial Services andOxford Finance to the loan facility. Five new equity investors in the company include BB Biotech AG, Brookside Capital, Saints Capital, Nordic Bioscience, and Ipsen Pharma. Radius said it will use the new investment proceeds primarily to fund Phase 3 clinical development of the subcutaneous injection form of the company’s treatment of osteoporosis.
