Waltham-based Harvest Power Raises $6M and They are Hiring

Waltham, Mass. -- Harvest Power, a Waltham-based producer of renewable energy and fertilizer products from organic waste, announced today an extension of its $51.7 million second round of venture capital. SAM Private Equity, part of the Switzerland-based Rabobank Group, has invested $6 million to join Harvest’s investment group. Founded in 2008, Harvest manages organic waste using a technology platform that produces renewable energy, in the form of electricity and natural gas, and fertile soil and organic fertilizer products. The company has facilities in British Columbia, Ontario, Pennsylvania and California.
