The Associate will play a crucial role in executing our investment strategy by researching promising technology market segments and proactively calling leading private companies and entrepreneurs within those identified market segments. He or she will also participate in all phases of the investment process including: due diligence, meetings with management, focused company and industry research, financial modeling and writing investment recommendations. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have two to four years of work experience, particularly in investment banking, management consulting, market research or strategic business development. Experience with technology companies (software, internet, media, etc.) is a plus. He or she will have an exceptional educational background. The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability perform, or the aptitude to learn, complex financial modeling. The candidate must be self-confident, as he or she will be interacting with senior executives on a daily basis, and be a proven self-starter. The position is intended to be a two- to three-year assignment before the Associate returns to business school or other career opportunities.
