Thumbs UP: DOL Announces jobless rates dropped in January!

The latest Metropolitan Area Employment and Unemployment news release

was issued today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Highlights are below.

Jobless rates were lower in January than a year earlier in 282 of the 372 metropolitan

areas, higher in 73 and unchanged in 17. Two hundred sixty-six areas had over-the-year

increases in nonfarm payroll employment, 93 had decreases and 13 had no change.
