Wegmans Food Markets today will begin recruiting for 600 positions -- 550 of who will be local -- for its new Northborough store.
The store is the company’s first New England location, which is set to open in October.
The company said the Northborough store will employ about 600 people, 550 of whom will be hired locally. Of these, there are 150 full-time positions to be filled.
Available full-time positions include everything from customer service and entry- level management positions to culinary professionals. Hiring for part-time positions will begin at a later date, the company said.
