Cambridge-based Scvngr Raises $4M... They MUST be hiring

Cambridge, Mass. – Scvngr, the Cambridge-based developer of a mobile gaming platform, announced on Tuesday it has raised $15 million in a round of venture capital led by Balderton Capital. Founded in 2008, Scvngr offers a service that is “part game, part game platform.” The game challenges users to “discover cool new places, find fun new things to do, share their activity with friends.” They can also earn virtual and sometimes “real-world” rewards. On the content side, providers can build on Scvngr by adding custom challenges at “their favorite places.” Google Ventures and Highland Capital Partners are also investors in the company.
