Where are the great places to work?

I'm sick and tired literally of working at lousy places with incompetent bosses and inflexible hours.  I keep hearing about better companies who treat their employees better.  Dan's posting about the changing workplace and a great place to work got me wondering:

• Where are the great places to work in the Massachusetts area?

• What made that a great place to work?

I suppose the opposite is also interesting, what was the worst place you ever worked.  I know JobVault and GlassCeiling give insights into companies.
