Creative GUI Programmer needed in Nashua, NH

Our client, a small,
growing company providing the ultimate
high-definition theater experience, located in Nashua NH,
is seeking a creative GUI Programmer to help develop user friendly and
creative
Windows-based applications and Graphical User Interfaces for its
international
customer base using its scientific visualization and multimedia theater
production software.

Candidates should have at
least 2 years development
experience and proficiency with Microsoft .NET languages and C/C++ using
Microsoft development tools to create cutting edge graphical user
interfaces;
and have a working knowledge of multi-threading applications for a
Windows
platform.  The ability to work from other’s code is essential.
Experience
with VB6 is a plus since part of the responsibilities will be porting
older VB6
code to .NET languages. 

The ideal candidate will
be adept at identifying ways of
presenting complex systems in an easy-to-follow, user-friendly, and
graphically
efficient fashion. An aptitude for creating visually appealing Graphical
User
Interfaces is essential.   A good intuition for software architecture,
designing optimized algorithms, and software design for the long term is
important.

Our client is looking for
someone who can provide insight
into the development of its product line, participate in UI strategy
meetings
as part of the Engineering team, and provide other support as necessary.
Some
international travel may be necessary.

Candidates with a genuine
deep interest in science, science
education and/or data visualization will be given special consideration

New graduates will be
considered if the applicant can
demonstrate a special aptitude for user interface development and skill.
Additional consideration will be given to applicants with experience
developing
user interfaces for automation systems, audio or video editing systems,
or
similar timeline based production packages.

Salary commensurate with
experience and relocation
