Zildjian, the global leader in
cymbals, drumsticks, and specialty percussion instruments, is looking
for a Director of Marketing Communications to join its  team at the
oldest family run business in the United States.​ Zildjian uses
proprietary processes to create cutting-edge musical instruments that
provide timeless inspiration for artistic expression.​

The
position reports to the VP of Marketing at its  Norwell, MA office.​
This person will develop and implement strategies leveraging all media
while maintaining a consistent brand image.​

He or she will also
oversee the company's website and web-based initiatives, manage the
creative and technical teams in the development and production of the
company's  marketing collateral, and manage all domestic media relations
and coordinate  advertising.​

The Director of MARCOM
is also responsible for overseeing the company's Public Relations
program.​

The ideal candidate will have:

• BS
  in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent experience in
  consumer goods or music industry.​


• Eight
  years experience in marketing communication (agency experience a plus)
  with at least 5 years in website development, interactive and social
  media marketing, CRM, media planning and e-commerce.​


• Relevant experience and understanding of
  contemporary web-based platforms, programming, language, software,
  reporting tools, graphic tools, standards and practices.​


• Strong computer skills including Microsoft
  Office, Adobe Photoshop, HTML code and relevant Internet software
  applications.​


• Demonstrated ability
  to successfully manage a project from concept to completion.​


• Experience developing needs assessment,
  scopes of project and cost models and managing a budget.​  .​


• Active knowledge of the contemporary music
  scene.​.​.​

Desirable:

• Masters in a relevant field
  a plus


• Proven ability to play the
  drum set with strong knowledge of the instrument including its history
  and contemporary playing techniques.​


• Blend of large company experience with small or family owned
  business.​


• Work experience in the
  Music Industry.​
