We are looking for a talented Information Architect/Usability Associate to help create highly usable and intuitive interfaces, while balancing company business goals with the needs of our worldwide user base.
Your interface design and usability recommendations will play a vital role, enabling millions of travelers around the world an easier and more engaging way to plan, take, and share their trips.
Responsibilities:
-Lead a variety of user research methods: including usability testing, expert reviews, contextual inquiries, surveys, competitive research, focus groups, and card sorting
-Assist with design and creation of site structure, interaction flows, page wireframes, prototypes and interface requirements that promote ease of use and a positive user experience
-Communicate usability findings to senior management and teammates, including engineers, product managers, partners, etc.
-Assist with conceptualization and creation of intuitive, engaging, and brand-consistent user interfaces for TripAdvisor.com and our sites around the world, taking into consideration cultural differences and language translations.
-Collaborate with product managers and engineering to conceptualize and develop new products and site features. Ensure sitemap, flow diagrams and wireframes are properly translated to the live site.
Requirements:
-Minimum 2-3 years work experience in information architecture and/or user experience design
-Experience with usability testing/customer research, wireframing, and prototyping
-Ability to juggle multiple projects, good time management skills and a "go-get `em" attitude
-Candidates must be well-versed in user-centered design methods, gathering user data, interpreting the results, and translating them into solutions and techniques
-Strong understanding of overall web site design, including usability, industry standards, architecture and navigation
-You must thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing, quick-turn-around environment.
-You must be a strategic thinker, outstanding communicator & listener
-Accomplished relationship builder (with product managers, development, and design team colleagues)
-Experience with Photoshop and Dreamweaver
-Fluency in Spanish and/or Itallian required
