We are seeking an enthusiastic, quick learner to be our Desktop Support
Specialist. This individual will install, configure, and support desktop
computers and peripherals, and maintain and administer local area network
(LAN) and all access to it. We are a Microsoft Windows-based organization.

Reporting to our Director of Computer Training Services, the ideal candidate
will: diagnose hardware and software problems and replace defective
components on all desktop computers; provide end-user support to all users
on the network; perform data backups and disaster recovery operations;
conduct routine inventories of computer hardware and software; maintain logs
related to software licensing, as well as maintenance and repair records;
coordinate with vendors and with organization’s staff, in order to
facilitate purchases, maintenance, and repairs.

Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in related field preferred, plus
experience maintaining and troubleshooting a Windows computing environment.

We are a private, non-profit agency, located in Newton, Massachusetts, which
serves persons of all ages who are blind or visually impaired.
