System Project Designer/Coordinator - Nashua, NH
Our client, whose primary focus is system design for planetariums, museums, educational exhibits and development of custom products and automation systems, located in Nashua, NH, is seeking a high-energy System Project Designer/Coordinato
The ideal candidate is someone who is extremely organized, detail-oriented and persistent. Must be highly technical, with the ability to evaluate situations, using logical and decisive reasoning. Must possess the ability to work well as an individual contributor and/or as a team member. Must be able to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast paced and occasionally high-pressure environment and be driven by quality work and customer service.
General responsibilities of this position include:
· Support the Installation Team
- Work with the Sales team to develop and create a system, specifications and pricing for each project
- Develop system documentation for sales and fine-tune for installation
- Work with Engineers on product development
- Test hardware, software and set-up configurations and specify out-sourced products
- Work with Architects to design theater automation and presentation systems
- Review installation and adjust system details and/or pricing for future projects
- Establish and maintain a database to streamline the sales/design-
manufacture- ship-install process.
Assume ultimate responsibility for ensuring that everything that is required for each project is on-site, ready and waiting for the Installation Team.
Bachelor’s degree in any relevant technical discipline and 1 - 3 years of experience in system design. Audiovisual system design and field implementation is highly desired. A recent college graduate with a passion for astronomy or audiovisual systems will be considered.
Must have advanced computer skills, including AutoCAD, MS Office and Visio.
Domestic and international travel is required and varies with each project.
No sponsorship available. Local candidates preferred, but relocation assistance is a possibility.
