Thumbs Down: Unemployment and moving average back up again.

It's hard to have a recovery when the numbers keep bouncing up and down. But have faith, there are jobs out there. This is the latest from DOL:
In the week
ending May 15, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was
471,000, an increase of 25,000 from the previous week's revised figure of
446,000. The 4-week moving average was 453,500, an increase of 3,000 from the
previous week's unrevised average of 450,500.

I think that the high enemployment rate is the pits. I have been unemployed since Dec. 24th of 2009, and I have been trying to find a job ever since, but so far I haven't managed to have the luck.

What are some of the things you're doing to stay current? Are you temping? Doing contract work? Going to school? I'm wondering if there's any suggestions you'd have for others to keep motivated.
