North Andover-based Nexamp Raises $6.5 Million. They are hiring.

North Andover, Mass. - Nexamp, a clean
energy consulting and project management firm, has raised $6.5 million in its
first round of venture capital, which included participation from Good
Energies, Point Judith Capital, and RCG Ventures. Founded in 2007,
Nexamp analyzes, designs, builds, and maintains clean energy projects for
businesses, governments, and homeowners that reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
Its offerings include renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy
management services. The firm combines energy project construction experience
with expertise in energy technology, markets, finance, and policy. Nexamp
reports that it had 100% growth in revenues in 2008 and over 80% in 2009. The
company now employs about 45 people, and says it plans to accelerate its growth
as a result of the new investment.
