Norwood-based Molecular Biometrics Raises $12.5 Million - Can jobs be far behind?

Norwood, Mass. -- Molecular Biometrics, a
Norwood-based developer of molecular diagnostic and monitoring applications,
announced on Tuesday that it has raised $12.5 million in its second round of
venture capital. Investors in the deal include Atlas Venture, Safeguard
Scientifics, and Oxford Bioscience Partners. Molecular Biometrics
said that the financing will allow it to accelerate the launch of its lead
product, a rapid, non-invasive procedure that is designed to enhance in vitro
fertilization (IVF) outcomes.
