Responsibilities: |
The
Director of Professional Services is responsible for the successful
delivery and completion of all Conservation Services Group software
implementations and related projects. In this role, the Director of
Professional Services is responsible for the direct management of a
team of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Analysts as well
as, on as needed/negotiated basis, Developers and Testers that deliver
CSG's software product solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage
the overall program coordination of the individual projects including
managing scheduling, assigning tasks, motivating resources, and
resolving problems.
- Adjust project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of clients and the organization.
- Provide
consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and
ongoing project health analysis, significant issue tracking, and
communication with project team, customers and management on a regular
basis. Succinct, on point updates to executive team with
identification of challenges is critical.
- Creating project
management artifacts such as project plan, project schedule and
associated task dependencies, risk list, project status,
scope/requirement documentation and project closeout.
- Negotiate
with his/her counterparts in the IT organization, especially
development and QA, the appropriate allocation of resources.
- Participate in client interactions and meetings to ensure customer satisfaction and management involvement regularly.
- Ensure reporting and communications is frequent and bi-directional.
- Ability to prioritize action items on a consistent basis.
- Works
to create repeatable implementation plans with focus on reduction of
costs associated with implementation and the creation of replicable
methodologies.
- Direct the utilization of applications and tools to support services team.

Qualifications: |
- Demonstrated
ability to manage professional services teams that include business and
system analysts along with development, testers and other team members.
- Strong
knowledge of project management theory and practices. Adheres to
project management processes and methodologies (ranging from Agile to
Waterfall) to ensure projects are delivered on time, adhere to high
quality standards, meet and exceed customer expectations along with
organizational goals
- Experience with business process
analysis, including gathering and documenting requirements, documenting
workflows and developing specifications.
- Professional
experience in a customer facing role with very strong communication
skills with ability to keep projects within budget and manage contract
compliance.
- Thorough working knowledge of the entire SDLC, IT
systems and processes, methodologies and their direct implementation to
projects
- Demonstrated ability to discuss and negotiate
complex tradeoffs with all levels of executive management, supervisors
and functional processors along with the internal management of the
teams.
Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree
- 8-10+years of progressive experience with 3-5 in a similar manager or director role managing a team of 8-12
- Proven track record of results in a fast paced, changing and high growth company.
- Excellent interpersonal skills required. Genuine and authentic leader that builds relationships to get results.
- A Team Player on the leadership team and the ability to lead and grow your own team.
- Excellent
written and oral skills with the ability to communicate effectively to
a variety of levels inside and outside our organization
- Knowledgeable of diverse project management tools (MS-project, hosted PM solutions, issue tracking solutions, testing, etc.).
- Travel as needed, expected to be 2-4 nights per month.
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience.
