Natick, Mass. -- Nasuni, a Natick-based company preparing to

offer a gateway to cloud storage, announced on Tuesday that it has secured $8
million

in its first round of venture capital. Investors in the deal are North
Bridge Venture Partners
and Sigma Partners. Nasuni's founders,
Andres Rodriguez and Robert Mason, previously developed a cloud storage
architecture at Archivas, which Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) acquired in 2007 for
$120 million. Founded in 2009, Nasuni said its products will be available on
the market in the spring of 2010.
