Boston -- Roam Data, a Boston-based provider of mobile application
services, has raised $6.5 million in a round of venture capital, led by Igneco
Ventures. Roam Data offers a platform that delivers information and
supports payment transactions to mobile professionals on their own mobile
phones. The technology is used by payment processors, direct sales companies,
and systems integrators. Roam Data was founded in 2005.
