Nexx Systems, a provider of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, has raised $4 million in its fourth round of venture capital, according to a recent filing by the company with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Nexx was founded in 2001 through the acquisition of MKS Instruments' ASTeX systems group, including its Nimbus product line of sputter deposition systems for thin films. With the acquisition of All-Wet Technologies in 2003, Nexx Systems expanded its product offering to include electrodeposition technology for metal and photoresist.
