Enfield, CT-based STR Holdings Prices IPO to Raise $123 Million

Enfield, Conn. – STR Holdings, an Enfield-based maker of solar power module encapsulants, has priced its initial public offering to raise $123 million. The company priced 12.3 million shares priced at about $10 each on Friday, well below its recently announced expected price target top of about $15. STR supplies solar module encapsulants to many major solar module manufacturers, including BP Solar, First Solar, Solarwatt AG, SunPower and United Solar Ovonic. Its products are used in both crystalline and thin-film solar modules.
