Some good news to report tonight. The House passed the Unemployment Benefits Extension bill today and the Senate voted 87-13 to bring the bill to cloture (their term- which means to have it voted on by the entire Senate). This vote overrode several attempts to filibuster the bill. The Senate may vote on the bill tomorrow or Friday (keep those letters to the senators flowing!)

A good website to track the progress of this bill and all others is www.opencongress.org.
