Mixed News: Unemployment down in 19 states, still low hiring though

The latest Regional and State Employment and Unemployment
news release

was issued today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Highlights are below.

In September, 23 states and the District of Columbia
recorded over-the-month unemployment rate increases, 19 states registered
decreases, and 8 states had no change.

Nonfarm payroll employment decreased in 43 states and the
District of Columbia and increased in 7 states.
