Devens-based American Superconductor Gets $100 Million Order from Sinovel Wind

Devens, Mass. -- American Superconductor, a Devens-based
energy technologies company, has received an order worth more than $100 million
from Beijing-based Sinovel Wind Corp. for core electrical components to
be used in Sinovel's 3 megawatt (MW) wind turbines. American Superconductor said
it expects to begin shipping sets of the components in March 2010 and to
complete all shipments by the end of calendar year in 2011. Sinovel is China's
largest wind turbine manufacturer.
