Mansfield-Based PrimeraDx Lands $20 Million in Third Round. See Their Jobs Now!

Mansfield,
Mass. -- PrimeraDx, a Mansfield-based developer of molecular diagnostics
technology, said on Monday that it has raised $20 million in its third round of
funding, led by CHL Medical Partners. Previous investors Abingworth,
InterWest Partners, Malaysian Technology Development, MPM Capital, Burrill &
Company and the Invus Group also participated. "We will use this
funding for the continued commercialization of our technology, including the
advancement of our regulatory strategy and the broadening of quantitative,
multiplexed assay menu to run on our ICEPlex system," said Martin
Verhoef, the company's president and CEO. PrimeraDx is developing an
automated platform for laboratory assays, initially focusing on for infectious
disease management. The company said that it also eventually plans to extend its
focus into oncology.
