Cambridge-Based Seaside Therapeutics Raises $30 Million : Sea their jobs!

Mass. -- Seaside Therapeutics, a Cambridge-based developer of drugs
designed to treat brain development disorders, said on Thursday that it has
secured $30 million from an unnamed "private, family investment firm." The
company said that it will use the proceeds to further development its pipeline
of drugs to treat autism and Fragile X Syndrome. Seaside has raised $66 million
since its inception. "Seaside understands the toll that brain development
disorders take on individuals and their families and shares in the frustration
over the lack of effective therapeutics for these devastating disorders," said
Randall Carpenter, the company's president and CEO.
