OVERVIEW:
- Broad knowledge base on system maintainability and reliability.
- Understands maintenance and reliability performance metrics. Utilizes
measures that are essential to meet "Best in Class" maintenance performance objectives.
- Understands the proper elements of a Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program.
Experienced in the appropriate application of condition monitoring
technologies (infrared thermography, vibration analysis, tribology, motor analysis, etc).
ACCOUNTABILITES:
- Objectives focus is to drive asset optimization practices in
conjunction with the Maintenance Team Leader and Engineering Manager
through reliability automation, standardization, and simplification practices.
- Has leadership for and ownership of the development and
implementation of predictive programs for the plant.
- Partners with Engineering and Operations to facilitate the process of
cross-functional problem solving. Understands and can utilize GAP
Analysis to focus on the key problem areas.
- Is actively involved and a leader in the plant CI initiatives,
specifically the Specialized Maintenance program.
- The position is a key interface between Maintenance and Engineering
personnel to ensure that appropriate resources are effectively
focused on increasing reliability.
- Works with Engineering to assure that maintainability and reliability
principles are integrated into all capital projects.
- Works with Maintenance Team Leaders, Storeroom Team, and Planners as
a Technical resource, for the development of an Equipment Reliability
Program that incorporates Root Cause Analysis, Predictive
Technologies, and Maintenance Excellence performance.
- Has a strong working relationship with Maintenance Team Leaders,
Mechanics, Planners, Storeroom Personnel, Engineers, and Operators.
Partners with all of the above to continually improve the plant PM program.
- Active Trainer of Reliability Practices.
- Performs Life Cycle Cost analysis, leads Failure Modes & Effects
Analysis (FMEA), and leads Root Cause Analysis efforts.
- Focuses on component failures and the reduction/elimination of them
through design or practice changes.
Additional duties as assigned.
- Is proficient and comfortable with all forms of communication
(verbal, written, group presentations).
- Understands problem solving methodology and can facilitate cross-
functional teams through complex situations resulting in Root Cause Failure Analysis.
- Can promote equipment maintainabilty factors that need to be
considered at the various stages of capital project implementation.
- Understands the impact of design, installation, commmissioning and
verification phases and the life cycle cost of a capital project.
- Understands and can develop "Best Practice" standards for all
Maintenance functions and activities. Able to develop and use trend
analysis techniques (Pareto, histograms, scatter charts, graphs and other techniques).
- Has a proven track record of excellent results in previous positions.
